For more than a decade, I’ve designed and built software that helps people navigate uncertainty and act with clarity.
My work spans enterprise, consumer, nonprofit, and regulated environments. I have improved decision systems at Capital One, shaped large-scale commerce experiences at Amazon, and supported learning and confidence building for more than one million girls through digital programs at Girl Scouts of the USA.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Communications from Howard University and a master's degree from Columbia University, where I studied how people build mental models, process complexity, and learn through play and structured experience. Long before I started designing software, I studied why some systems make people feel capable while other systems create confusion. That question still piques my curiosity.
My story starts in the Lowcountry. I spent my early years in a small town outside of Charleston, South Carolina, before moving to Virginia Beach, Virginia. I’m a Geechee girl at heart, never too far from Red Rice, Hoppin’ John, Okra Soup, and boiled green peanuts (the saltier, the better).
Today, I split my time between New York City and Hampton Roads, Virginia, balancing design leadership with Sudoku puzzles, travel adventures, and an ongoing love of home renovation TV shows.
